Trillium cuneatum, the little sweet Betsy. Also known as whip-poor-will flower, large toadshade, purple toadshade, and bloody butcher.
Trillium cuneatum has three broad, mottled leaves surrounding a sessile, banana-scented flower. Sessile means fixed in one place, immobile.
