I’m a very big fan of Lost. In my opinion, this show is ultimately an experiment on how to captivate audiences via telescript. A lot of what they were doing to keep people on their feet, I’d see happening in a variety of other shows that air during the same time period, including Grey’s Anatomy, The Office, and 30 Rock. This captivation was all based on blurred lines and complete tom-foolery.
Lost has had me think in such profound ways over the past few years that I’ve incorporated real life situations mingled with my dreams, which making me think I’ve physically been on this island of mystery. But it’s also just an obsession of living totally off the grid, surviving, and The Blue Lagoon.
Grams and I connected HARD because of Lost. Wherever we went, we was loners. She specifically loved Lost because of the Jack, Kate and Sawyer love triangle, and complain when they weren’t in a qualm. “Loners (For Kate And Sawyer)” is me and Grams at IHOP pouring scotch in our coffees. It’s a long-con that blends simplicity, patience, and tom-foolery into an ageless friendship that will live well after her, myself, and Internet. RIP: December 24th is coming up:
