The selfie. At the forefront of our youth. A phone, a camera, a laptop. Culture revolved around vanity. Vain persons with one thing in mind, the self. Background exists but we are the forefront of it. Natural disasters. We are visiting our sick relatives and selfie (the act of taking a selfie) with our coma induced cousin. Forty likes. Fifty notes. Six friend requests. Our lives change. We inspire. We document through photos. We keep up with life through photos. We communicate through photos. Without it, we have no voice. We have nothing to show. Our lives then again nothingness, lost even before the moment is gone.
