What does dilemma mean to you?
Now this for clarity:
A dilemma (Greek: δίλημμα “double proposition”) is a problem offering two possibilities, neither of which is unambiguously acceptable or preferable.
Example:
When I was in the gas station this morning, I ran into a dilemma. I wanted a bottle of water but felt overwhelmed by the variety of water brands. I didn’t know which one to choose.
I wanted a lot, I was thirsty, but the only big containers were more expensive brands. I thought about how strange water branding is because H20, in its essence, is always the same, and in the grand history of capitalism it wasn’t branded until recent decades.
And water definitely was not a status symbol until recently.
A few bottles on the table, a few waters.
It ain’t a secret, baby, everybody saw us. Guess whose it is. Guess who it is. It’s yours.
I bought Fiji because it was cheaper than two smaller bottles of the generic gas station brand.
Like I said, I was thirsty.
