The Heterotopia remixes were just released and there’s already a bootleg that’s furthering the original’s utopian ideals. Chilean producer Tomás Urquieta blends Divoli S’vere’s iconic “Like This” and Fraxinus’ & Kid Antoine’s Heterotopia submission: two largely different club sounds. This isn’t vogue-grime, but vogue-club also seems inaccurate. Like recently released Sapphire Sweat, Urquieta’s rework is clearly post-Night Slugs, who started the trend of mixing vogue vocalists and producers with their grime/club machinations. This new 2015 trend, however, is more emotional and more organic. Perhaps it sacrifices a bit of danceability, though we’d argue that is not the case. This bootleg is meant for the body even more so than the mind.
