New tune from Ryan Pollie’s Los Angeles Police Department project, which rides that mellow L.A. country-rock vibe made famous by Petty, The Eagles, and Jackson Browne. And if you’re reading this, thinking, “Why would you want to be compared favorably to The Eagles?,” I would respond by asking if you’re one of the rubes who listens to everything spoken by the Dude in “The Big Lebowski,” because The Eagles kick ass. Anyway, “Hard” is a one off track from LAPD, and the combination of sweeping strings, strummed acoustic guitars, and choice harmonies helps it go down real smooth. No word yet on whether this is part of a new album or release, but enjoy it for what it is, and keep a watch on Ryan’s social media for more info.
