Warsaw based DJ, producer, label honcho (first Sangoplasmo, then DUNNO Recordings) Lubomir Grzelak takes electronic music and mutates it into whatever he finds fit under his Lutto Lento moniker. Beginning with fluorescent trippertronics a’la Sunroof! with Death Beam and later exploring droning hauntology on Duch gór, Lutto Lento was Grzelak’s primary vehicle and a platform for exploration. Now he returns with a brand new 12” EP Whips, which will be released on the London based Where To Now? label on the 22nd of June. The titular track is a dusty, minimal techno track which skillfully builds the mood with strategically placed samples of screeching tires, party whistles and breaking glass. Like a lo-fi version of Jam City’s Classical Curves, only far less glossy.
