♫♪  Quay Dash - “Shades On Top Down”

Each track on Quay Dash’s new EP Transphobic feels club-fit, whether the spot’s damp and blunty or pouring $13 well shots—and all the wonderful variations in between. “Shades On Top Down” bumps at an especially infectious bubblegum pace as her quick sass and wit skip along with the warm keys and cute zips of Korean producer Hongsamman. Quay hails from the mightiest of all boroughs, the Bronx, and while she stunningly reps the BX her sound is also influenced by, and influencing, the downtown clubs, fashion designers, models, labels, and trans musicians, like Marcelline and Juliana Huxtable, who are, individually and collectively, releasing some of New York’s most politically pertinent, innovative, and fun-as-fuck creative work.

Quay also just made a mix for the phenoms over at DISCWOMAN, which you can stream here!
