Similar to Juliana Huxtable and Boychild, SWAN MEAT (a.k.a. Reba Beauchamp) maintains an intriguing and seamless cross-over appeal from fine-art and literature to music. The first of Reba’s works that TMT covered was last year’s “NECESSITY OF FOREPLAY,” comprised of glitched noises knotting a variety of mingling sounds and samples, portraying non-binary flips of male hygiene. Earlier this year, SWAN MEAT introduced a bit of fried club in the form of “RENDER/TRIGGER,” beholding the vapidness of NON and Halcyon Veil, and awkward dance-floor vibes by M.E.S.H. Most recently, YOSHITAKA HIKAWA collaborated with SWAN MEAT on “BX3 HEADSPACE,” developing sonic confrontation on the collaborative edit.
TMT found out SWAN MEAT has a release popping on TAR soon, too, so in celebration of Reba’s incredible artistic pursuits AND out of excitement for her upcoming release, SWAN MEAT boosted up with a guest mix titled MARROW. Enjoy the mix and this weekend!
