I’m under the impression it took YEARS for Malik Abdul-Rahmaan to pull together then newest juice let-loose on Paxico Records entitled, Field Research: Malaysia. It’s such an honor to hear musicians/artists going through a quest or journey creating each work of art, but those who physically seek this adventure in a destination that’s unchartered to the individual… THAT is when magic is heard. Thankfully, Malik went all-in and with Field Research: Malaysia, blending two of my favorite genres: field recording and beat-tape instrumentals.
