Lazy weekends should forever be socially engrained as “productive.” Remember how Monday started off tite when the train arrived on time and then the coffee spilled all over your shirt. Then when exiting the train, something sticky got all over your butt, only you didn’t notice until around noon when looking in the mirror at everything you’ve collected. 20 outta the 25 calls you made ended up yelling at you through the receiver. Someone decided to clean out the fridge before lunch, so NO LUNCH. Instead, you got a bag of three mini red-wines, only to start one while taking a leak on the train before it left, but leaving the other two in the bag unintentionally behind. This was verification that Monday can only be defined as HOT and MESSY.
But OOF this new ttnik album by Scraps really helps that weekend productivity MAX OUT to new relax levels. DIY electronics echo’d out a lightly mighty voice, singing a trance that’s just about bending the flex in “Say It.” Snoop the tape August 19 on Not Not Fun or grip the LP version on the Australian label Moontown. Mostly take a couple inhales. Deep exhales. Breathe the way you’d “Say It.”
