Chino Amobi confirms debut full-length on UNO NYC, shares track snippet (with sirens)

It seems like every other collaboration recently has featured Chino Amobi offering his politically-minded tunes in a manner that fiercely beckons our attention. If you’re looking for an extremely recent example, look no further than the new Demon City release from Elysia Crampton, where the Richmond-born producer has a credited hand in the tracks “Dummy Track” and “Children of Hell.” If TIME Magazine didn’t limit their “Person of the Year” to wimpy heads of state, we might have cause and motivation to petition Amboi as a candidate.

Amobi’s new full-length on UNO NYC isn’t the first of its kind, if you consider the albums released under his Diamond Black Hearted Boy moniker, but it is the first full-length album that has his given name presumably adorning the cover art. Word has it that Amobi spent some time in (or temporarily moved to) New York in order to complete this album, and so explains the recent affiliation with the otherwise home of Mykki Blanco and Gobby, among others. NON WORLDWIDE seemingly remains Amobi’s north star, however.

Neither the release date nor the name of his new album has been revealed, but here’s a clip from the track “BLOOD OF THE COVENANT”:
