So there’s this guy Glenn Astro. What’s he like? Well, Glenn’s the kind of guy that’s 26, lives and works in Essen, Germany, and used to produce hip-hop. But then he’s also the kind of guy that shifts over to producing house and garage after a while — the kind of guy that really knows how to blend the forms with a kind of sweet melodic glow. Right, riiiiiiiight. The kind of guy that releases singles and EPs on a variety of respected labels — mmhm, that kind.
But Glenn’s also the kind of guy that’s set to release a vinyl six-tracker called the Hologram EP on March 23, with a later digital release of April 6. And of course he’s going to do it on London-based label WotNot. And he absolutely would get South London-based producer Henry Wu to do a remix for him. In fact, Glenn’s the kind of guy that might just let Rinse FM DJ Alexander Nut debut a track from the EP, which, of course, he did. Glenn’s that kind of guy.
