You know what would look really nice next to your vinyl copy of John Carpenter’s 2015 Sacred Bones release Lost Themes? No, not a Carpenters record. A remix record, of course! Fortunately, the good people at Sacred Bones have got you. Lost Themes Remixed is coming out October 16, just in time for the annual lifting of the veil between our corporeal world and the creepier, more mysterious otherworld.
So who’s on this thing? Well, for starters, you can peep Prurient’s remix of “Purgatory” below. Meanwhile, Zola Jesus teamed up with producer/David Lynch collaborator Dean Hurley. L.A.’s Silent Servant is on here, and so is JG Thirwell of Foetus fame. Skinny Puppy’s ohGr also makes an appearance. And more! Yes, so much more. If you have the deluxe digital version of Carpenter’s 2015 debut, you could have some of these already, but this is the first time they’re all together on one glorious vinyl LP.
