You ready for a bunch of news-like reports and not very many actual details about Chicago’s name-swapping herb-hocker drill maestro G Herbo f.k.a. Lil Herb? Well, alright. I don’t know much about G Herbo and his life, so I can’t say with any great degree of certainty what he’s doing when he’s not alliterating pistols or welcoming you to the neighborhood. I’ll tell you one thing though: he most definitely did just sign with Cinematic Music Group. Or maybe Herbo’s own imprint Machine Entertainment decided to partner with Cinematic. Whatever the specifics, here’s what I know: out of this partnership will arise Herbo’s next mixtape, entitled Ballin’ Like I’m Kobe. When’s it coming out exactly? That’s one of those details we don’t have. “Soon,” though, that’s for sure. Probably late September or early October, according to Hot New Hip Hop.
What’s more, in the grand year 2016, this partnership will also bring about Herbo’s debut album. When’s that coming out? What’s it going to be called? What actually happens when we die? I don’t know the answer to any of these questions, and neither does the press release I’m consulting, so stop asking. He’ll also be heading out on this fall’s Smoker’s Club Tour, but again, no real details beyond that.
Ah well, with all this talk of details I almost forgot to embed the video for the track “No Limit,” which will be on BLIK. But don’t worry, I remembered. That’s why I’m mentioning it here.
