Barron Machat, founder and CEO of Hippos in Tanks, has passed away at the age of 27. News came early this morning via an Instagram post from James Ferraro, as well as tweets from Oneohtrix Point Never, Laurel Halo, Arca, and Tri Angle.
This hits especially hard here at Tiny Mix Tapes. The L.A.-based label was a favorite around these parts, having make frequent appearances on our year-end lists.
RIP Barron Machat.
