Punk isn’t punk enough these days. Blame garage rock, blame bubblegum beach punk. Thankfully, a new rock & roll space god has landed among us, however, in the form of Rotterdam’s Rats on Rafts. Beloved by the guy from Franz Ferdinand, the guy from Echo & the Bunnymen, and the guy from Louder Than War, the band consists of the hardrockin’ David Fagan (vox/guitar), Arnoud Verheul (guitar), Florian Veenhuis (bass), and Joris Frowein (drums).
The fellas will be releasing their second full-length, Tape Hiss, on the venerable Fire Records come October 16, with a lengthy European tour planned for later in the year. Hiss was self-produced, recorded, and mastered on analogue because DIY till you die, obviously.
