In an attempt to surpass Richard Youngs and Madlib as the most prolific artist ever in the universe of all time, Sam Hillmer of Zs has announced yet another project, Diamond Terrifier, which will release its first full-length, Himalayan Appalachia, on a limited-edition cassette tape September 17 on Sockets Records. This is in addition to the upcoming release by his other project, Black Crown Ceremony, and a plethora of other shit from Zs.
The cassette, consisting of two 20-minute solos on tenor sax, will be introduced on September 17 at Diamond Terrifier’s release party at Brooklyn’s Death by Audio. The performance, featuring friends from Parts and Labor and No Babies, will be accompanied by projections from Trouble, Hillmer’s art duo project. If that weren’t enough, he’s then going to wake up the next day and coach his Fly Girlz through his non-profit new music organization, Representing NYC. And then we hear he’s going to call up James Franco on the phone and be all like, “What now!? You ain’t got shit on me!! BLAH!!”
