In case you were still having any doubts about whether this Slowdive reunion was the real deal, here’s a fun nugget of info: Slowdive are going on tour! This particular bit of uplifting Slowdive-centric news follows the release of “Star Roving,” the band’s first new song in 22 years, as well as their announcement that they had signed to Dead Oceans to release a new album that is totally, definitely, in the works.
Slowdive will be playing five select cities throughout the Midwest and East Coast this May, with support coming from Japanese Breakfast. Tickets go on sale January 27. Seriously, stop wasting time and put a reminder in your Google Calendar to buy tickets already.
Check out Slowdive’s tour dates, and listen to “Star Roving” below. Also make sure to keep your ears at full attention as they wait to hear the new Slowdive album, coming out someday, some month, hopefully before 2018, via Dead Oceans.
