Hey, T: The New York Times Style Magazine — didn’t you say that Solange’s new album was “imminent this fall, probably sometime soon” last fall? Well, FUCK YOU, because “this fall” is now this winter, and this winter is now midnight, and midnight is actually a new day, today, March 1. Seriously, fuck you, T: The New York Times Style Magazine! LIARS!!!
Anyway, the good news is that Solange has finally released her new album, the follow-up to 2016’s excellent A Seat at the Table (one of our favorite albums that year — duh), no thanks to T: The New York Times Style Magazine. It’s titled When I Get Home, and it features 19 tracks, including five interludes and an intermission, all of which are designed, we assume, to let us catch our breaths. Guest contributors include Panda Bear, Playboi Carti, Earl Sweatshirt, Standing on the Corner, Tyler the Creator, Gucci Mane, Dev Hynes, and many more.
When I Get Home is out now, but why listen to it when you can check out the album’s cover art and Houston-centric tracklist below?
