Thom Yorke, former member of Oasis, has announced an April tour with his newly formed band, featuring Nigel Godrich (longtime Radiohead producer), Joey Waronker (R.E.M./Beck drummer), Mauro Refosco, and Flea (from Anthony Kiedis’ smellhole). While for a short while the group was known as “Thom Yorke ????” (mostly for the Coachella poster), they have now finally confirmed an official band name: Atoms for Peace. The name comes from the title of track six off Yorke’s solo album, The Eraser. (Fun fact: Radiohead would be called “Anyone Can Play Guitar” if they went off track six of Pablo Honey.)
Don’t know about you guys, but I think I might like “Thom Yorke ????” better.
