From Examiner:
Reports of Rob Grill’s death via social networks proved premature Friday, but his mates on the Happy Together Tour launch that night at NYCB Theatre at Westbury knew that the end was likely imminent for The Grass Roots’ lead singer.
Sadly, Grill’s wife Nancy announced his passing yesterday at 67, after a recent serious fall followed by two strokes.
Grill sang on numerous Grass Roots classic hits including the anthemic “Let’s Live For Today,” “Midnight Confessions” (their biggest, peaking at No. 5 in 1968), “Temptation Eyes” and “Things I Should Have Said.” Altogther, they tallied over a score of hit singles.
