Excuse me everyone, but Diamond Terrifier, the solo project of ZS saxophonist Sam Hilmer, has a few things that he would like to announce before the party begins. First, many of you cherished — with good reason — his debut cassette Himalayan Appalachia from last year, and now, with the arrival of a new year that’s sure to be filled with disappointment and failure, dearest Terrifier has offered a glimmer of hope with the exciting news that some brand new tracks have been premiered for your pleasure as part of the Monthly Singles Series featured on Diamond Terrifier’s website.

Second, there’s a date for Diamond Terrifier’s first official full-length release! Expect an LP produced by Chris Taylor (who you may know from Grizzly Bear, or as the guy who stole Jessica Rylan’s band name) sometime in September on Northern-Spy Records.

Finally, while you were staining your simpers with eggnog, Diamond Terrifier played a shit-ton of shows in December that you might’ve missed. Thankfully, he’s already set a bunch of dates for January, though only in New York. Dates below. Info on supporting acts can be found here.

Dates:

01.08.12 - New York, NY - The Cake Shop
01.10.12 - Brooklyn, NY - Spectacle Theater
01.14.12 - Brooklyn, NY - Shea Stadium
01.17.12 - Brooklyn, NY - Zebulon
