FREE EARL! Never mind, Earl a.k.a. Earl Sweatshirt has been freed. With that task completed, the world must move on to its new rallying cry: FREE EARL’S ALBUM. Though the Odd Future member announced last year that his new album would be called Doris, he’s dropped very few details on it since. As such, let me blow your mind with a (relative) avalanche of details. As reported by Pitchfork, Earl has announced that Doris will be out August 20. Not only that, he released the record’s cover art, the likes of which you can see above. If you cannot handle this much information about Earl Sweatshirt’s Doris flooding your synapses, please stop reading now.
Alright, for those with unflooded synapses, here’s a little more. Earl recently took to Twitter to post a picture of the record’s tracklist, which you can view here. Fifteen tracks, roughly 45 minutes long, a wise decision according to some. If you hate looking at pictures, read the tracklist below. The album includes the trio of tracks Earl has released since returning to the Odd Future fold: the awesome “Chum,” the awesome “Whoa,” and “Guild,” which has Mac Miller on it.
