An enchantress is out to kill Tobacco! While working on his recent album Ultima II Massage, the Black Moth Super Rainbow star ran afoul of a powerful enchantress. As a tip to all our readers, do not offend any enchantress, sorceresses, or curse-mistresses. Fearing for his life, fearing that it will be ripped from him by the hands of this deadly she-wizard, Tobacco is fleeing from his home of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In a move considered smart music-wise and very foolish not-being-killed-by-an-enchantress-wise, he will be playing a string of dates during this flight from danger. One of these dates will be with tUnE-yArDs at Toronto’s NXNE, presumably in order to join forces with Merrill Garbus in battling this new foe.
While speaking of fear, there exists an Eric Wareheim-directed video for Ultima II Massage track “Streaker.” It is terrifying. It is also very NSFW. Probably. I don’t know where you work. “We’re about three things in this office: efficiency, friendly service, and naked people wearing masks.” Maybe that’s something your boss says a lot.
