Yuji Kondo reveals his unique superpower, announces debut EP on Perc Trax Radiate The Ocean From My Back

·

My car-less existence in a major metropolitan area almost necessitates my walking more than the average person, but outside of that, I haven’t really been working out lately. Bless the circus-level state of my metabolism, first and foremost, as it allows me to consume copious cheeseburgers without having to worry about the resulting fat storage. Instead, in a display of biological wonder, all calories from fat proportionately increase both the power and size of my brain. Thus, I should probably work that out. What artist will give me the motivation I need so that I won’t have to keep angling through doorways?

Yuji Kondo!! The Japanese producer who sometimes goes by the name Duceray Ada Nexino, and who’s one-half (but not in a metaphysical sense) of the duo Steven Porter, will be releasing his debut EP on Perc Trax on August 28. His music would be a fitting complement to any strenuous physical activity, especially the kind involving spandex, but he’s also a part of a more recent burgeoning of what websites tell me is called “industrial techno.” Think Vatican Shadow, Planetary Assault Systems, Shifted, or the CEO of the label on which Kondo now finds himself, Perc. Minimal frills and driving 4/4 rhythms allow for focus, as well as concern from bystanders as to why you’re rocking back and forth like that.

I’m all about reducing my cranial girth. Thank you, Yuji.
