Admission: I don’t know much about Latvia. No idea about their capital city, forms of government, art, cuisine, et cetera et cetera. By any measure, my Latvian knowledge is lacking. I can pre-suppose this, though: they are probably hurting for performances from drone musicians. To be fair, most places are, but I’d wager Latvia more than most. With that said, I bring excellent news. Drone guitarist Noveller (a.k.a. Sarah Lipstate) is embarking on a European tour next month. Included in said tour: a stop in Durbe, Latvia for the Zemlika Festival!
Noveller’s forthcoming tour will also include stops in Austria, the UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, and Sweden. Most of these stops are probably less starved for experimental music performances than Latvia, yet all could use more. Last year, Noveller put out No Dreams, her sixth album.
