Yeah, we all took to two knees in praise of Altars.EP. And everybody been on Ohbliv’s game since it’s been trill to claim home turf in Richmond, Va., but really you just crashed on a couch their for a week and your Montana beats weak, bruh. Beyond just his legit Richmond, Va. roots, Ohbliv been hard-hitting on beat-heads since before his first tape during the Culture Dealer golden years, growing a culture from his grand(beat)parents before him, and shines inspiration for those up-and-coming. Also, not to be forgotten: his work as Dark Twaine coming February 10 on Zona Tapes!!! Been listening to S/L a LOT recently, and it’s hard not to hear some solid Ohbliv influence in there too.
Altars.EP has a unique sound to it, but random “Whattup” track was posted up a few days ago with “Imagination Station featuring Rhetoric Wallace. Stay tuned for moor in 2015.” Props to the versiage from Rhetoric Wallace, but whaaaat is Imagination Station. Did I miss something? New album title? STOKED for “moor,” y’all.
