In less than two weeks, the venerable Hopscotch Music Festival will take place once again in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, featuring something like 5 millions bands performing in over 2 million venues. Artists this year include GY!BE, Deerhunter, Prurient, Elisa Ambrogio, Pusha T, Lawrence English, and improviser-in-residence Owen Pallett. But starting a week before and lasting through the fest are a bunch of incredible day parties that showcase just how deep and weird and beautiful we can all get.
Tiny Mix Tapes is proud to once again ride the coattails of Raleigh institution DiggUpTapes and art/music/booking collective Apothecary for the sixth edition of Orientations in Space, an annual day party that has boasted the likes of Akron/Family, Future Islands, Rene Hell, Lee Noble, Heads on Sticks, and many more. Gracing the stage this time will be Guardian Alien, Nest Egg, Doom Asylum, Daniel Bachman, and more TBA. Like last year’s event, the (free) show will be held at Kings Barcade.
RSVP to Orientations in Space IV here, check out all the day parties here, and listen to the artists in our lineup below. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
