PJ Harvey is back with her first album since 2011’s Let England Shake. Drawing in part from her recent travels to Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Washington, D.C., and recorded last year while Harvey was in residency at London’s Somerset House, The Hope Six Demolition Project comes out April 15 via Vagrant Records. Visitors to Somerset House could have seen the band in session with producers Flood and John Parish as part of an exhibition called “Recording in Progress,” where you could peer at them in their purpose-built recording studio through one-way glass.
