The UK’s most punk rock non-punk rock band Future of the Left are returning with a new LP, The Peace and Truce of Future of the Left, out April 8 via the band’s own Prescriptions label. Recorded by Anthony Champman (Klaxons, Franz Ferdinand, Hot Chip) at Monnow Valley Studios in Monmouth, the album was funded by a PledgeMusic fundraising campaign that reached its goal in a record-breaking three and a half hours. (Future of the Left’s previous album How to Stop Your Brain in an Accident was also crowdfunded, within five hours.) You can check out the track “The Limits of Battleships” below.
Future of the Left will be heading out on a UK tour this spring to promote the album. Word on the street is that Andrew and Jack will also be performing a series of charity shows featuring songs from their former band, the legendary Mclusky.
