Double exposed into an infinite overlap, AyGeeTee’s newest video for “Just You, Me & All These People” is like paranoia to the next level. It’s like someone watching you read this post about AyGeeTee’s “Just You, Me & All These People,” while they have the video open and playing on their phone, sitting just behind you, whistling that rhythm in snippets every-so-slightly. The acidic effect of image upon image in a mirage of storyline filters in with the percussive course of the song itself too: the crackling bass line, insatiable snare-to-top-hat, desolate whip snaps, flicking radio signals, wifi broadbands that may not even exist. The Earth in the distance. The Earth in the back of your mind. This land is your land. So keep watch, or someone bound to witness your actions before you want them to do so.
The video for “Just You, Me & All These People” was created by Joseph Volmer (a.k.a. Party Trash, Clearing, Police Academy 6, etc.), and the track itself is off the new AyGeeTee tape on Seagrave Records mid-August. Keep an eye out for the bounce, and in the mean-time, enjoy the tingly feels of the ever-watching eye in the video for “Just You, Me & All These People.”
