Shoegaze champions Slowdive have completed recording their first album since 1995’s Pygmalion. The band reunited in 2014 to tour, sparking discussions of a new album. In May of this year, singer Rachel Goswell confirmed that they were in fact working on a new record. It seems they have had a productive summer.
The reveal is found in a recent interview drummer Simon Scott did with Danish publication Undertoner (via CoS), in which he nonchalantly disclosed this information. The album is likely to be out sometime in 2017.
No news of a tour as of now, but if you’ve yet to live out your dream of seeing them live, check out this video of them from 2014. I was at this show, and it was sick as hell.
