Deerhunter to tour the US this fall

·

With the Braves owning a slightly less than stellar 42-70 record, comfortably residing in the MLB cellar, the city of Atlanta could certainly use a win. Fortunately, the city’s favorite shoegazing-ambient-garage-punk sons, Deerhunter, are set to make a trek across these United States in the fall, reminding the rest of us that there is more to Atlanta than just its fledgling sports franchises.

The tour kicks off on October 5 in Covington, Kentucky, and features support from Aldous Harding and Jock Gang.

Adding a new wrinkle to an already great live show, Deerhunter’s core lineup (Bradford Cox, Lockett Pundt, Moses Archuleta, and Josh McKay) will be expanded to a six-piece, with Rhasaan Manning on percussion and Javier Morales on keyboard/saxophone. If the band’s recent danced-up performance of Fading Frontier cut “Living My Life” on The Late Show is any indication, this tour is sure to be a freaky good time. Check out that performance, as well as Deerhunter’s fall tour dates, below.
