Look out, Europe. D-Day is comin’. By which I mean: Fire-y L.A.-based art-punk songstress Carla Bozulich has announced that she’s torpedoing your way this September for an explosive smattering of shows and workshops. While some of the locations are still forthcoming, the tour will include a two-day residency at Café OTO, during which she has vowed to draw upon her Constellation Records catalog during the first night and opted for a more “noisey affair” on the second (yeah: “MORE noisey”).
In a related piece of totally incendiary news, Bozulich also invaded The Quietus last month with an intensive piece about “the paradoxes of surviving rape, Mohamed Ali, the jagged gems and yielding rocks that build our fluid self, and feeling mighty, glamorous and powerful, proud and velveteen.” It featured a spoken-word and accompanying video for her Evangelista project’s “Enter the Prince.” Check it out, as well as the list of tour dates, down below… at your own discretion and peril, that is.
