It was always a super delicate process for my brother when trying to get Nintendo or Super Nintendo cartridges to work. People didn’t believe it before seeing it work, but he’d put hydrogen peroxide on the end of a q-tip, rub the wet end on the interior circuit, then the dry end, and blow on it gently before inserting it in the console; most importantly: my brother moved the cartridge ever-so slightly in the console flicking the on and off button or reset button until a full image appeared. Then he’d leave a baseball glove on the turbo controller at night, while doing the raft fish-grind loop, leveling like crazy, and I just turn it off in the morning to play some Ninja Gaiden.
