Damn, and I already thought that Atlanta’s own Gucci Mane released more albums than the Braves played nationally-televised baseball games!
But, according to HotNewHipHop, EVEN THOUGH his second album of 2016 — the obviously post-season-baseball-themed Woptober — was supposed to come out today, October 17, the man JUST COULDN’T WAIT THAT LONG.
So, after surprise-releasing the album this past Friday, he took to his Twitter this morning to instead announce that Woptober’s follow-up is already on the way via his own 1017 Brick Squad. (And no, you’re not a paranoid schizophrenic or anything, 10-17 is indeed a significant number here).
The new-new-new album will be titled The Return of East Atlanta Santa, and it’ll be released on December 16. It’s a sequel to 2014’s East Atlanta Santa mixtape that dropped while he was still finishing his prison sentence. Either way, I’m sure it’ll make one hell of a stocking-stuffer. After all, I can’t be the only one who needs a little more Atlanta hip-hop in their life to counterbalance the fatiguing flood of traditional holiday songs at that time of the year.
