UPDATE: Sure enough, just minutes after posting this story, Gucci Mane shared a new EP, titled 3 For Free. Each track is produced by Shawty Redd. Go here to check it out.
Geez, what took him so damn long?
I mean, it’s “already” almost February of 2017, and yours and my Gucci Mane-man Radric Delantic Davis is “only” announcing his next new album now? What’s he been doing since friggin’ December when he released that 3rd or 4th or whatever-it-even-was album since his prison release, I wonder?
Oh well. Either way: yesterday, the Atlanta rapper ended that colossal drought by alighting onto Twitter (a couple times, actually) to announce that his next new album would be called DropTopWizop.
According to Complex, the album name is “possibly a reference to Migos’ wildly popular ‘Bad and Boujee’ track, which features the often-cited line ‘Raindrop, drop top/Smokin’ on cookie in the hotbox.’” (Or it could just be that all three of those words have the same awesome short-o vowel sound in them and one of them is “wizop.” Whichever.) They also cite as likely production partners the usual Mike WiLL Made-It, Zaytoven, and Metro Boomin.
No tracklist or release date have been blurted-out yet. But stay tuned, as it’s likely that, along with that info, he’ll probably announce like two more albums, his own Ben & Jerry’s flavor, and a Broadway play or something.
