Because you read TMT (and nothing but TMT) three times a day, seven days a week, you already know that The Jesus and Mary Chain have a new album, their first in 18 years, coming out on March 24. You’ve seen that it’s called Damage and Joy. You’ve even listened to “Amputation,” the first track the band shared from it.
Well, it’s been a hot second since that original announcement, and, seeing as how A) it still ain’t March 24, and B) 18 years is a long time to make people wait, the band have released another new song off of Damage and Joy to help tide you over. This one is called “Always Sad,” and you can watch the video for it below.
In the extremely-unlikely case you haven’t been paying any attention to what I’ve just been telling you, let’s recap: Damage and Joy comes out March 24 on ADA/Warner. If you’re really itching to throw these two new songs on the ol’ Zune, or what have you, you can pre-order the album now and receive immediate downloads of “Amputation” and “Always Sad.”
