I was totally going to be lazy and just be “short and sweet” with this post, but I heard the other single “End Of Heartache” — which was TOO house-MC for me — and figured “Bodymaker” deserved a little bit more of a dissection, creatively speaking.
Speaking of “dissection,” the music video for “Bodymaker” (directed by Nicol Eltzroth Rosendorf) is pulsatingly intense. Feels like an impossible-traps chase sequence in an old sci-fi movie. Or an eye spasm that won’t quit. Pacing well with a trail of beauty.
The track itself blends sounds similar to a WISE+BLOOD sample-line, sunn0))) ambient-drive, and Cateaou Twin feel of serenity. Or an Andy Stott B-Sides unrelease ONLY PLAYED AT LIVE DJ EVENTS track backed by Dean Blunt on a microphone intentionally too far from his mouth on a rooftop party where everyone is just getting wine drunk, and it’s a little cloudy.
DUTY!!!
