Egyptrixx unveils new moniker, ACT!, announces debut LP, Universalist, out this July on Halocline Trance

·

All things are in fluxx, readers. Canadian producer David Psutka, up until now best known as Egyptrixx, has gone ahead and retired that name — and out of the ashes rises the mighty phoenix hereby known as ACT! In addition to the name change, ACT! is gearing up to drop an LP of “phosphorus midi and brittle digi textures,” dubbed Universalist, via Psutka’s Halocline Trance imprint.

We have before us the first sonic taste of the LP, opener “Ecstatica / On Patrol.” This may not be banging at your usual club, but head to a dark, damp basement party at 3 AM, and you might find yourself raging til dawn on these off-kilter, other-worldly jams. Universalist drops July 13. Pre-order it here and be on the lookout for more tracks and vibes from ACT! Long live ACT!
