Working at a middle school completely ages you. It ages you in a way that belittles your idea of “cool.” Automatically, you’re Old. Somehow I’m 15-20 years more in age than I really am to these kids. But they’re kids. And that’s the secret: your reaction to misunderstanding youth. Wrapping your mind around the thoughts of children. Becoming part of that immaturity. Enhancing what you now behold as adult.
