Foodman to chill on a chaise lounge and casually release new album Aru Otoko No Densetsu on Sun Ark

·

Given his prodigious SoundCloud and general affinity for the web, fans of 食品まつり a.k.a. Foodman have typically had easy access to his music. But what about those music lovers who loathe online communities and resist track-by-track distribution like a person who stubbornly resists restaurant appetizers? After all, not everyone wants to spend time munching on fried zucchini with a main course waiting in the wings.

Luckily for those judicious individuals, the Japan-based beat-maker is poised to improve his 2016 release for Orange Milk Records (his most popular to date — and one of TMT’s favorite albums from that year) with the recent announcement of a new LP on Cameron “Sun Araw” Stallones’s Sun Ark label.

Foodman’s upcoming release is called Aru Otoko No Densetsu, and it’s out September 21 on CD, vinyl, and digital formats. The vinyl version comes with a booklet of drawings by Foodman, and you can sample a couple of the tracks right here. The man certainly has a knack for creating carefree sounds that haven’t obviously been done in his particular style. So if you’re one of those discerning listeners who’s been holding out for the main course…get yourself in the buffet line and P R E O R DE R Aru Otoko No Densetsu (which apparently translates to “a man’s story,” btw) now.
