Someday in the probably not so distant future, when the computers are shoveling soma down the throats of an infecund human life force, those who prophesied the rise of the machines will look down on us bondservants and say, “I fucking told you so.”
Among the few who will remain as aide-de-camps to the Auxuman overlords will be British-Iranian producer Ash Koosha, standing tall and proud above the rest, as he was the one who helped breathed creative vitality into an otherwise aseptic robotic lifeform.
To clarify, Koosha has been delving into AI-assisted electronic music production for the better part of the last decade. His new album, Return 0, represents a creative consolidation between man and machine; produced with a “planetary intelligent system in mind…where creative minds are the biological influence of a colorful and endless virtual simulation.”
Yona, one of the synth-loving “Auxuman” (Auxiliary Human) AI bots that Ash has created, appears a few times on the new record, which is due out September 21 on Koosha’s personal label Realms.
You can get a glimpse of this brave new “planetary intelligent system” by checking out “Wild Heart” down below, one of the tracks off the upcoming album. It might be a bit eerie witnessing a creative AI robot rattling off algorithmic dance jams, but you might as well go ahead and accept it now: this is the future.
