Omni Gardens - “West Coast Escapism” “West Coast Escapism”

·

Hark! What are those dulcet tones emanating from my earbuds?!? Oh, another new age throwback album, you might wonder. Put those negative vibes away, my dude, because we’ve got the full album stream of West Coast Escapism, an ultra chill, exploratory ambient/new age odyssey from Steve Rosborough’s Omni Gardens project. Rosborough, known to many as the founder and curator behind Moon Glyph, blends synth tropes with an omnipotent musical shaman’s sensibility, which makes for an assured, rewarding debut.

Rosborough used to dabble with this brand of new age mysticism, mostly under the Soothsayer moniker, but West Coast Escapism is a head first dive into the healing, mentally rejuvenating tone pool you might encounter on a meditative spirit quest. Omni Gardens has one other song out in the world, a brief opening track on Holodeck Vision One, that served as a quiet introduction to the project.

I’ve been zoning his whole output super hard since I first heard it, and it will likely be a consistent spin in my household. Pre-order before that September 28 release date, but for now you get to stream this quiet beast in its entirety. Find your chakra and shine on!
