Brainiac reissues coming this March on limited-edition colored vinyl

·

Gird yourself for the cresting wave of Brainiac nostalgia.

The Ohioan synth-punk band are the subject of an upcoming documentary, Transmissions After Zero; and now, Touch and Go have announced reissues of their output for the label on colored vinyl.

The group’s last LP, Hissing Prigs in Static Couture, is coming out on blue swirl, and their last EP — the still-presciently-titled Electro-shock for President — is coming on plain ol’ white. The reissues will drop March 8.

HOWEVER, there is also a special offer tied to these records: From now until February 11, those who pre-order these reissues will be eligible to BUNDLE their orders: If you pre-order Electro-shock for President or both Electro-shock… and Hissing Prigs in Static Couture, you will get a limited edition Brainiac shirt for your effort. (If you ONLY want to pre-order Hissing Prigs…, you will remain shirtless.) The shirt, per a press release, will NOT be available in the Touch and Go store after February 11, so you will be able to lord it over your slower-on-the-uptake friends who also love Brainiac.

In case you haven’t caught it, check out the documentary teaser below, and pre-order those Brainiac reissues right here, smart alec.
