I’m currently undergoing the longest break from my low blood iron narcolepsy but I fear it’s coming to and end now. It was a fun ride, one that entailed a lot of awkward dive bar dancing in Pittsburgh past 2 am to Cocteau Twins and whatever bookends moments like that. I don’t miss anything about this, except the falling in and out of sleep to psyched up, delirium via guitar riff. Frustrating emotional freefall, swaying off balance into a headache or out-of-context headbang.
Bring on the swirly vibes, empty my head or at least let whatever’s inside seep out like fuzzed out bass. Here’s to hoping I’m somewhere ideal when that happens. Some involuntary nodding off to a visceral, kinetic throb.
