There are novel ways of packaging your shit, then there’s a sandstone USB mini-gravestone containing circuit-fried computer noise from Finnish composer Brothomstates (Lassi Nikko). A gravestone hand carved, edition of one, presented by UK audio platform/small headstone chiselers Misc., yours for £150. The gray, monolithic slab houses samples pitched at light speed, a digital miscellany of color and acceleration in extreme juxtaposition against the monochrome eternity of its vessel. Lacking £150, Brothomstates’s ribbons of computer slaw blast from my laptop that looks nothing like a gravestone, say I.
