This is Jersey club by the books, but by no means does that discredit it. DJ 809 takes a pretty terrible Black Eyed Peas track that seems like a watered down version of some of the better early 2000s fare and actually makes it more than tolerable. Perhaps I’m biased because “My Humps” was blasted into our collective ear for the vast majority of 2005 and now no one could possibly have a deep passion for it, but the point is: DJ 809 keeps only the best parts and throws away everything else to reveal why in fact it was so popular ten years ago. And further proof that anything can be Jersey clubbed and thus be made better.
