Latest from the land of Georgia includes two self-released Bandcamp jams, and an album, New Kind Music, on NYC label Palto Flats. (If this name sounds familiar, it may be because they’re the ones behind last year’s Mariah reissue. If it doesn’t sound familiar, head here immediately.)
But it’s also Georgia’s ever-unexpected Soundcloud stream that keeps me a little bit addicted. One of their latest, “House Blessing,” slinks around like sage smoke from a tightly bundled wand—look, as it curls up into the corners of the ceiling; snakes around the paper towels; dissipates under the door frames. Then, just bask as your whole place fills up with pure vibezzz.
